Originally established in 1977, as Northeast Nebraska Insulation and Siding, located at 307 East Omaha Avenue, Jerry Pospisil became the General Manager. Not long after, in 1981, Karla Frey joined the team as Office Manager. In 1996, Jerry and Karla were given the opportunity to purchase NEN Insulation and Siding, and it was a natural fit.
The huge decision to join Window World Inc., was made in 2001. With this came our new name, Window World of Northeast Nebraska, and many benefits to our customers, including; factory direct buying power, national support, and the same high quality windows and siding. Window World has grown into the largest replacement window company in the nation, but we are still locally owned, which gives you that family driven service.
With this support, great things were happening. In 2003, we opened a store in Sioux City, Iowa which we called Window World of Siouxland. Up to that point, we had been servicing the Siouxland area from our Norfolk Location. Recently we moved our Iowa location to our new location in South Sioux City, NE.
In 2006, the Norfolk Location growing pains were relieved by moving to a bigger building, with a warehouse at 1504 North 1st Street. We also added Brent Frey, who had over 10 years of installation experience, as an Operations Manager. Finally, in 2008, Angi Frey-Kruse joined the family team for Marketing and Customer Relations. 2012 brought the biggest change, when Jerry entered retirement and sold his portion of the business to Karla. However, Jerry still enjoys meeting with homeowners and continues to sell part-time.
Having family work side-by-side has created a caring, hardworking and educated team. Growth in numbers of employees and great customers, are what keep us inspired everyday. We are here for you in the long run and we cannot wait to help you make your Family’s Home a warm, efficient and beautiful place to be.
